Saturday's Holiday Sale in San Francisco, our 5th annual event, was a great success. We knew we'd be dealing with a bit of a crowd, so we brought in extra reinforcement staff to keep things running smoothly. Lots of happy folks left with great GAMA-GO bargains and rarities. Many thanks to everyone who made it down to the Rickshaw Stop!

Many thanks to Jeremy of ToyCyte who posted these photos captured at his polling place this morning. Says he:
It’s going to be a historic day today, and the Yeti departed his ice cave to find the local polling place to cast his ballot. It is a lesser-known fact, but owing to the cold climates and strain of bearing such heft as a bipedal creature, yetis can be prone to arthritis. As such, the Yeti is a staunch believer in universal healthcare without barring pre-existing conditions. The Yeti is a very misunderstood creature and feels that there should be equality for all, including other marginalized cryptids. He has not been happy with the way things have gone over the last eight years and has kept a low profile. The Yeti is hoping for change.

On Monday evening City Beer Store was packed to the gills with friends, well-wishers, and Deathbot devotees as we celebrated the release of the new Deathbot Lederhosen. The Oktoberfest brew was flowing, the Deathbots were circulating, and a great time was had by all. Many thanks to City Beer and all those who made it to the party!
Jeremy from Toycyte stopped by and afterwards posted a few photos alongside this interesting comment about the Deathbot:
"...besides digging the toy itself, I want to mention that the Deathbot is a relationship-bridger. Do you have a girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband/mother-in-law who just barely tolerates your toys? Is it the modernism and the coldness of urban vinyl? If so, perhaps, like my girlfriend, your partner will embrace the warm wooden antiquity of the Deathbot." (emphasis added)So there you have it: there's nothing to rekindle the flames of romance like a heartless, drunken, killing machine.

We got a good chuckle from Jager of Millionaire Playboy's review of the Barack Obama action figure, in which he photographs the figure in debate opposite one of our wooden Deathbots. We appreciate Jager's snarky political commentary, and remind our American friends to vote Deathbot on November 4th in support of his "Kill!" platform.
In other Obama-related news, our third run of Yetibama shirts sold out yesterday in an astonishing six hours!

What's 30 inches tall, metal-plated, and more dangerous than the CERN atom smasher? (Launched today, only a small minority of scientists think the Large Hadron Collider might create a black hole capable of destroying earth.)
Why it's the Giant Armored Deathbot, of course! This statue, exclusive to "Well of Wisdom" members from our Store Club, is shown here in the workshop where they're being plated. There's still some detailing and glazing to be done, but this thing is already quite a beaut.
Bow to Deathbot!

An excerpt from the second installment of Greg's story about the creative process behind our upcoming vinyl Yeti:
It's like a Moebius strip, there's no back or front to his lower body. There's a plain that runs up one leg, swoops across the crotch and down and around the back leg - there's no definition. I suppose it all springs from the sticky issue of imaginary penises. No one wants to mess with Yeti junk.

We asked for summery shots of you sporting GAMA-GO gear, and summery shots we receieved! Beaches, barbeques, camping--it was tough to pick from tons of great entries, but two winners emerged:
Congratulations go out to flickr user aubrie who took this photo on a road trip through Arizona at a truck stop decorated with "dilapidated sheet-metal tipis and rotting wagons". She says it was quite a magical place, and from this look of summer revelry we're quite inclined to believe her. Aubrie wins a $175 gift certificate for her top-notch entry.
Runner-up goes to user mookeybooboo who toted her GAMA-GO messenger all the way to this gorgeous nunnery in Kowloon, Hong Kong. A $75 gift certificate will be going out to mookeybooboo.
Many thanks go out to all of our entrants! Stay tuned for our next contest announcement...

Here's a sneak peek at an upcoming hoodie that we're really excited about. The unstoppable Joe Ledbetter designed this one, featuring his take on the rough and rowdy Deathbot. It's all done up in fine embroidery and looks sharper than a tack.
No date just yet on when this hoodie will be ready for sale, but we'll keep you posted.

"It's like I'm submersed in a deep-sea bathysphere peering out at a nasty and hostile terrain.
I take a swig of beer.
'Ok, right. Toys.'"

There are four tiers of membership support. All proceeds will go directly to our GAMA-GO flagship store fund.
Plus, as official GAMA-GO supporters, all members will have their name imprinted on the front window of the flagship store!

Although we're crazy busy working on our Yeti costumes for Comic-Con, we've got a few side projects on the side too. Gama-Go and Toy2R have teamed up once again, this time we've collaborated on a kick ass Yeti Qee Key Chain. We'll definitely have a sample in a laser beam protected glass vault at Comic-Con for all to see. There's also a 75% chance we'll have the real deal for sale. Have to get back to you on that.
